Tuolumne to Agnew Meadows, Day 4: Nydiver and Iceberg Lakes - #

We kept our camp along Shadow Creek and dayhiked to some remote lakes. Both Nydiver and Iceberg Lakes are accessible by trail, but are not 'main' trails. Beautiful places!

But before the day's hiking could start, we had a yummy brookie breakfast courtesty of fisherman david.

Fresh brook trout with a bit of lemon pepper - beats oatmeal any day. :)

Our morning hike to Nydiver Lakes takes us out of the Shadow Creek drainage and up to the ridge. It was a steep climb so the views appeared quickly.

David on the rough trail to Nydiver. It exists and is mostly easy to follow, but it's hard to find unless you know where to look (like the Cabin Lake trail)

We eventually find the waterfall that drains out of Nydiver and pretty much follow it up to the lake.

The passage between the cliffs to Nydiver Lakes. Trail peters out before this point so it's just cross-country navigation from a bit before here.

A preview of the views to come. Before seeing the lake, Banner Peak and Mt Ritter pop into view. Wow!
